In 2011 a new wing of classrooms was completed allowing over 100 high school students to complete their education. Friends of Laclubar also provide scholarships every year to students at the high school.
Our partners Skillset have also established a tree planting project in Laclubar which is building a sustainable economic venture for farmers through carbon offsetting.
President of Timor-Leste, H.E. Dr. José Ramos Horta had this to say about the support being given by Friends of Laclubar

The Friends of Laclubar invite you to partner our Timorese neighbours through fundraising for these important development projects. Our aim is to build ongoing friendships with the East Timorese, to deliver tangible benefits to the Laclubar community and to develop models for sustainable independent development.
You can become a Friend of Laclubar by making a donation, sponsoring a student with a high school scholarship, purchasing coffee or by joining the carbon offset project and supporting the productive tree planting project. We can also help you with contacts in East Timor if you wish to visit or volunteer in Laclubar, Manatuto Province.
